APPENDIX A - URLs
Accessing your files in a web browser
On any web browser visit, https://files.sjb.school/.
Accessing your files on Windows
These instructions will allow you to map a network drive so that it appears in 'This PC' in Windows Explorer and thus in other applications on the computer.
1a Windows 10
Please note: you will need an internet connection in order for this to work.
- From the Start Menu go to File Explorer and select This PC on the left-hand pane
- Select Computer from the top ribbon
- Click on Map Network Drive
- Enter the relevant URL in the 'Folder' box (see Appendix A) and click Next
- Click Next
- Enter sjb.internal\ followed by your school account username (i.e. 17BloggsJ). Then enter your password, and click Ok
- Click Next, then Finish
- Login with your school account username and password
Accessing your files on MacOS
These instructions will allow you to access the network drives on a Mac laptop or desktop.
Please note: you will need an internet connection in order for this to work.
- Open Finder
- From the menu along the top select 'Go' > 'Connect to Server...'
- In the 'Server Address:' text field enter the appropriate URL please see 'Appendix A'.
Optional: click on the '+' button to remember the server address. - Click on 'Connect' you will be prompted for your school username and password:
- It's up to you if you chose to save your password or not then click 'Connect'.
- In Finder, this will show under the 'Shared' list in the left-hand menu as well as an icon on the desktop.
Steps 3 - 5 can be repeated for each of the resources you'd like access to.
Accessing your files on iOS
Any application that supports WebDAV can but used to download, upload and view files. All iPads managed by the school use the Documents App by Readle to access these files but these details will be the same for any compatible app.
1) In the app, press on the cog which for this app is on the top left of the app.
2) A window will open. Press on Network and select 'Add Account'
3) Select the WebDav Server option from the list that appears
4) In this window you fill out the details for the server. For the title put in either My Docs or Shared Area depending on what account you are setting up. Please refer to the appendix for the correct URL to use. Your school login is used for the login and password here.
5) Once you have completed that window the account will now appear as shown below. You can close the window
6) You can then get access to the folder from the main menu on the left hand side.
